What They’re Worth to Us, An Equestrian Commercial

This is for a contest I’m in. I wrote this poem a long time ago, when all I could think about was horses…and ponies. I’d sit by my window thinking all the time about what my horse would be someday. So this is what I wrote. Looking back I thought this would make a beautiful vid…becuase it came from a heart longing for that friendship.
POEM:
He teaches our souls to fly,
to soar over our tribulations.
Why is it we love these creatures?
Maybe it’s the silence
the peace.
We’re no longer judged
The world may be watching
But here
on MY horse
We know nothing else
but the wind
the sky…
Our minds work as one.
We speak to each other.
We hear nothing else
but the thunder of hooves
leading a path to a victory
far more than gold could ever buy.
Because a friend
means more than life itself.
