   obviously its show …
   obviously its show worthy! i guess it takes people who actually do and understand it to fully appreciate. even before i knew about reining i liked watching it. when i finally learned about it from my trainer its even more fun to watch, being able to see the horse’s strengths and weaknesses in a run is really nice. lol. its not just a guy galloping a horse in circles. having any horse riding experience would tell you there are varying speeds of the lope the horse is asked for, and so much more.

   Yes, the most used western-horses are Quarter and Paint Horses. They’re between 1,45 till 1,55 cm.

   I ride english/icelandic/barback-bridleless,
   but i think western is cool! Smart horse!
   But all the “western-horses” seem so small.
   Is it because of the saddle are so big,
   or are the horses pretty small?

   brittbritt0059 – yes it is completely show worthy. and its not just aguy galloping around in circles. say that is like say show jmping isnt worthy cuz its just guys galloping over jumps. it takes alot to be a reiner. dont comment on things you dont know about.

   This is also a sprot that shows the skills that a ranch horse needs. A ranch horse needs to be able to speed up, slow down, rollback, and stop on a dime to work cattle. So reining is a sport that is based on real life ranch horse skills. I can appreciate this sport.

   Totally agree I’m addicted!!

   You truly understand how hard it is to ride them. Try getting on a reiner when you’ve never ridden one and stopping and spinning them. You’d be lucky if you stayed on!!

   This isn;t just a horse galloping in circles. This is a horse who is being controled by his rider by his seat and legs. He speeds up and slows down and changes leads as asked, and does so fluidly. The agility and athleticism of these horses is AMAZING.

    i can see how this …
    i can see how this would be fun and i understand the hardwork that goes into it.. but is this really show worthy? it doesnt seem like something that is all that fun too watch but i guess that i am wrong because everyone in there is going crazy over a guy galloping in circles
