yes, i know. but to trot a jump, you trot before and after it.

that was not troting a vertical. troting it means troting to it and after it. also your stirrups are to long for jumping.

if your horse is in a canter and ypu want it to go down in a trot what do you do

my horse can trot a 3 ft jump totally fine . you Just need to be forward enough but stay in the trot. If your horse does break into a canter always correct your horse by going over it again but making it clear that you want them to trot it.
