    No. It’s less that shoulder-fore. If the horse were coming toward you, you’d see half the width of his inside hind hoof to the inside of his inside front leg.

    You’re right. We DON’T want the horse to unload. We want him to shift his weight toward the hind legs and off the front.
    When the horse in the clip “unloaded”, he was avoiding carrying weight on his hind legs. We want the horse to load the hind legs,

    Ok thanks. Now I’m really confused. all the years riding Dressage and all of them spent trying to get his weight back there and off the front :-/ ?? I’ll have to re-watch this clip.

    Unload means to …
    Unload means to take the weight off the hind legs so that the center of gravity shifts toward the front legs.
